Hello! My name is Amber.
While traveling the US with my husband, a US Marine, I got a new job at a craft store in upstate New York and found, much to my surprise, that the yarn kept calling to me (!). My mother had taught me to crochet while I was elementary school, but by that point I hadn’t picked up a hook for a very long time, probably because it could not keep kid me interested and adult me didn’t think of it. So when the yarn began looking just so soft and squishy that every time I passed it I had to squeeze various skeins, I knew I had to pick up crocheting again. This was back in 2010 and, wow, so much has changed. I crochet daily, think of patterns and crafts and just love this awesome crafting community on the internet. This is my blog, my journey, and my passion. I hope you enjoy experiencing it along with me.
I have just found you and love your work. You have some really interesting designs and I love the use of ribbon. I popped over and liked your facebook page too. Good luck with the shop – I am procastinating about mine! I find that I spend far too much time on the computer in an attempt to get myself out there!(or so I convince myself!) I look forward to seeing the other things you come up with. 🙂
P.s. I find that I get a lot of great feedback from my blog – you should consider joining up with a link party such as Handmade Monday. It is time consuming but worth it for the feedback.
Good luck.
Oh, thank you for your nice comments and for liking my Facebook page. I’ve never heard of a link party. Where can I find one? I would love to sign up for one. 🙂
On my page there is a link to Handmade Monday – the one I use. All you have to do is write a blog post about something you ahve made and then use the tool to link in. You have to do it between a certain time (large time gap). If you google handmade monday you should also come accross it on Handmade harbour.
Thank you so much. I’ll search and give it a try. I love seeing what other people produce, gets inspirational vibes flowing, and I would appreciate feedback on my jewelry and a chance to get my name out there. 🙂 Again, thank you.
Great earring. Really creative!
Thank you, so much.

Love your blog! My daughter is also the wife of a Marine! Nomad life is right! Moving every 3 years. 😎 You have beautiful stuff.
Thank you! Every three years, like clock work. It’s got its good and bad points, mostly good. Tell her I said “hi”, as the Marine Corps is one big family. 😀
I really is! At least I’ve visited Okinawa, and now they are in Hawaii! 😎 Guess where I’m visiting next? I’ll tell her.
Oh, fantastic, at least it’s somewhere nice. She could be in North Carolina… 😀
Cherry Point?
Or Camp Lejeune. We were they for a time, it’s interesting to get used to if you haven’t lived in the south before. That humidity, man. Not fun. 😛
My parents met when they were Marines stationed at Camp Lejeune during WWI. 😎 Neither was from there. 😎 From San Diego, never lived there. 😎
As a Navy wife for 6 years now living in Sicily, I’m wondering what I can do to earn extra money. Even though I’ve been told it isn’t necessary, but with a spending splurge needed here and there I’ve got to find something….:)
I know what you mean. Although we don’t ever need me to, I work everywhere we’re lived. It makes me feel like a contribute.
